| Can you prove that God actually exists?
Honestly, I cannot prove that God exists. This is not unusual since I cannot prove that anything exists beyond a shadow of a doubt. In other words, nothing can be proven 100%.
However, I can provide reasonable doubt that God exists. To state it scientifically, I can point to the high probability that God exists from certain deductible evidence. Take the existence of the created universe as an example.
There are really only four logical possibilities for the existence of the universe. They are (1) the universe appeared spontaneously out of nothing, (2) the universe does not exist since it is only an illusion of our minds, (3) The universe has always been there, or (4) Something or someone outside this dimension exercised a force and brought the universe into existence.
If we look at these arguments closely and logically it will become clear which theory has the highest probability of being correct.
First, a spontaneous creation is not logical since the Basic Law of Physics tells us that nothing comes from nothing.
Secondly, the universe cannot be an illusion since it is predictable. Scientist can predict the year that Haley's Comet will pass by earth. In a universe of illusion, this is not possible.
Thirdly, the Law of Thermodynamics shows that the universe has not always been there. The universe is loosing energy a rate great enough that it can no longer be replenished. Using Einstein's Law of Relativity, the end of the universe is maximum Entropy of absolute zero. If the universe has an end then it cannot be eternal and most likely has a beginning.
It all come down to something or someone outside this dimension exercised a force and brought the universe into existence. Since there are not eternal Hydrogen atoms, it is logical to think that the universe was the work of an eternal God.
Yes, this takes faith, but no one can not argue that we use faith every day in every thing we do. Why would the existence of God be any different.
